So after the memory portal thing, a bunch of monsters from our worlds showed up, or copies of them? (Sorry if you ran into Fragment of the Universe, the one that looked like a crayon drawing with hearts on it - that one's mine, I promise they're actually a sweetheart and didn't mean to drive you insane.)

It might be good to have an idea of what kinds of other entities people are used to in case this happens again? Or even if it doesn't and I never have to fight any of them, I like hearing about all the weird and wondrous species out there. Tell me about their powers, their behavior, their physiology, anything.

...Also, I'm not going to lie, if there are any hot ones I especially want to know about those. I have never felt shame in my life and I'm not going to start now, this is a promise.

They're immortal, so all you end up doing is subduing them.

I'm not classified to know the technical details of how to create EGO weapons, but Abnormalities generate energy whenever they're active. The goal is to have positive interactions with the Abnormalities that keep them happy and contained while generating as much energy as possible. My specialty as an employee is seeing to their social needs.

You make it sound like as long as these monsters are happy, then it would be enough to generate energy to ensure humanity's survival. That is a rather cute way to think about it.

We do power the whole City now, so yeah, you could say that. And some of them are pretty cute, in my personal opinion.

I'm not an artist, unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to provide drawings that did them justice. I do have photos of Punishing Bird and Big Bird on my phone though.

They're so cute! Granted, the eyes are little off putting but they are adorable in their own way!

Makes me wonder if they're just as huggable as they look.

Wouldn't recommend it with Big Bird unless you're very careful and know them very well first. They decapitate people a lot.

Punishing Bird... If you're very gentle. If you squeeze a little too hard they'll enrage and kill you.

Not even if you give it treats? Or try to sing songs for them?

They do both like treats, but I still wouldn't recommend anyone but a professional handling them.

As dangerous as your world is, it does seem rather interesting!

Punishing Bird is relatively easy, as long as you don't retaliate at all when they attack you and can take a few pecks before they calm down. Big Bird... Avoid making eye contact, and when you talk to them don't imply that there's any danger around.

It's definitely not boring, I'll give you that.

Why would it be? Your job certainly has a lot of... interesting aspects to it.

But the important thing is that you love your job and that you are trying to better humanity, no? Although, I certainly hope that it does get better with time and that there is an end in sight.

Love is a strong word, but I get as much enjoyment out of it as I can. It's not the kind of job you can quit, unfortunately.

Sounds like it's a job that once you get it? You are not allowed to quit.

Although, it makes me wonder what other kind of jobs your world has. To tend to creatures, to fight against them...sounds like it really is a world meant for only the fittest.

The fittest or the richest, unfortunately. Part of the reason I took this job was so I could afford to send my parents to live somewhere better.

Maybe? We don't have anything like them at home so it might take a bit to convince Dad they're safe, but they'd love the view.
