You can form telepathic connections or help with their dreams. It's more advanced than what we start off with, but it is possible.

I'm afraid I do not have that ability. Ayato may be able to, but he would be the user, and not the recipient of the magic.

Although I must confess, I fear this may not work as well as it should, as Ayato does not sleep much to begin with.

He is almost always working.

Yes. And he does, but it is a lot less than how much sleep one should have.

I understand that he has much work to do, but I always try to remind him to take a break and rest, too.

What is he doing all the time?

Reviewing contracts, making proposals, signing papers, amongst other things.

That sort of work can be delegated. There is no reason for one person to do all that much.

Some can be, yes. But there are other matters that require his own personal attention, especially at home.

His work here, however, does not lend him the help of others just yet. While he is a leader in Inazuma, he is a regular employee here. Perhaps over time, when he gains more benefits, he will have a secretary.

What job is this anyway?

In Inazuma, he is the Yashiro Commissioner.

Here, he plays the role of an ambassador. Bridging the connection between otherworlders like us and the locals.

Is that an official position?

Yes, it is. Ayato's official title in this world is Otherworldly Ambassador.

I considered a similar position, but I have other things I wish to attend to at this time. The teahouse, for one, and I'd like to be able to travel, as well.

Does your brother not wish to live?

Or does he believe a life has no meaning unless it is in service of others.

The answer to your question may be best given by my brother himself.

As the clan in-charge of the Yashiro Commission, however, we must live in service to both the Electro Archon and the people. That is not to say we cannot live our own lives, but we must prioritise others before ourselves.

That is the responsibility of the Kamisato Clan.

I understand the need to fulfill responsibilities, but I think it is dangerous to let it fill all your time and life.

I do not mean to make it sound as if work is all Ayato does. He is able to socialise with friends. It is just that he does not take time to sleep as much.

It still strikes me as reckless in its own way.
