Most define it as living your life for the sake of those around you. Making choices that would most benefit them and limit harm.

Part of handling compassion is accepting another's feelings for you. Even if you feel unworthy, you have to allow them their feelings.

Pushing others away only causes more problems. It rarely changes the way they feel. It only causes them further suffering.
