My name's Evangeline, and I'm single and ready to mingle and all that - nice to meet everyone. -I'm not normally interested in other humans, but I've been asked to do a lot worse for energy production, so this isn't so bad.

That's not actually what I wanted to talk about though. I've only just gotten here and I've already gotten some serious culture shock reading through people's introductions and talking to locals. It's not so much that people have different answers to questions than me, but the whole basic questions are different, you know?

It's like - people have been saying what city they're from, but where I'm from, there's just one city. It's the City. You don't have to give it a name because it's the only one. There's more stuff like that, too, where I don't even really have the right words to explain the difference.

I was wondering if anyone else was having a similar experience?

Everything else that's sapient! Although at home that's pretty much just limited to 'Abnormalities' - what most people would call monsters. I like them though.

I've been called a monster before, but not as often as you might think. Demon hunters are pretty rare these days.

I can't say that I'm having a similar experience myself. If anything, I would say having regions divided by season isn't too different from each country having an Archon dedicated to one of the elements.

I mean, there's nothing wrong with humans. They just don't do it for me? I don't look at them and go 'that human is hot' the way I would with... pretty much anything else?

I totally get that part, there's so many things that can kill you at home that just aren't a problem here. It's a nice vacation, honestly, even if it is weird.

It isn't quite the same thing, but there weren't distinct cities where I grew up. We didn't know what a country or a nation was. It was just inside the walls. There were districts with names, but beyond that there wasn't any reason to have a name for anything.

But we thought we were the last humans alive anywhere, so that perspective was different. I still only barely understand what a "nation" is or does, but it doesn't matter that much to me. I understand "city" though.

But I haven't really met anyone else with a similar experience either, so I guess in that way it's kind of like what you're talking about.

I get you. I don't think there are any humans living outside the City, except for people who've been exiled, and they don't last long. Outside the City is too dangerous to even think about exploring.

My circumstances aren't exactly the same as yours madame, we have many cities, but there is something rather peculiar I've noticed as a trend.

Demons from every other world I've talked to people from thus far have been very different. I've not heard of this "hell" before, but it seems like everyone else has or at least has heard of some sort of equivalent.

Where I'm from, Demons, while having something of a unique background, are residents of the world the same as everyone else.
