How do you tell the difference between romantic love and platonic love?

Sorry... I really want to help, but they're both kinda mixed up into the same thing for me. I know you start feeling that someone's really, really important to you, and that stuff you said about it starting with tingly feelings and stuff is true kinda, but it's a little different from person to person too.

I mean... you're probably getting different answers because it is different for everyone.

For me it's pretty simple, I don't have steamy thoughts about people I'm not romantically attracted too, and if I somehow do end up with a thought like that it creeps me out a little.

That definitely won't work for me, I get steamy thoughts about people super easily.

That's a hard question to answer. It's probably different for everyone.

For me, it's a little bit of a different feeling that I have for someone I'm into romantically, versus a friend I'm sleeping with. Butterflies in my stomach, I think is the cliche. A bit of jealousy that I don't have with friends. It can be a bit subtle, unfortunately.

I don't really get either of those, at least not that I've noticed...

Sure would be nice if this were simple and easy to understand.

Look at them for a while. If at any point you feel like you want to put your mouth on them, it's probably romantic.

It races because of the strength of your love for them. Your longing to be beside them, to touch them, to kiss them, makes it romantic, don't you think?
