[It's Evangeline! She's not wearing the flower she usually wears in her hair.]
Job searching seems to be a pretty popular topic here, so here's a related question: how do you write a resume and describe your skills and work experience without sounding violently unhinged?
Like I was thinking of applying to be a garbage collector, because I'm used to cleaning up dead bodies and have a high tolerance for bad smells from that. And at home 'experience with handling corpses' would be a perfectly reasonable thing to put on a job application, but I get the impression that it might be kind of a red flag here?
-Also, if you don't have any advice on that, then tell me which of these supernatural accessories says 'promising employee candidate' to you.
[She holds up a red flower with roots in one hand and a... headband of golden eyes? in the other. The look of the eyes might be familiar to people who read her last post.]
I could wear them both, and I usually would at home, but for a job interview I'm a little less concerned about power and a little more concerned about fashion.

Human standards for these things can get confusing. But if I had to guess, you can just say that you have a high tolerance for odors. I lucked into my highest paying job because of my unique experience, so that's also an approach you could take.
That aside, I like the red.
no subject
I don't know if it's a human-standard thing or a peaceful-world thing. I mean, I'm human still, last time I checked.
I like the red one too! It's got nostalgic value for me.

I can understand not wanting to make things difficult for yourself by flaunting it, of course. There's a reason I don't go everywhere looking like this.

Wait, weird about death... ]
Yeaaahhhhh putting it like that ain't great. Maybe like, 'experienced dealing with...' uh, shit, I know there's like a better word for just corpses...
[ Give him a minute or two-- ]
Cadavers? I think that's the term?
[ But to toss out some ideas for her-- ]
Do you think you could work at the hospital or a funeral parlor...? I'm sure that'd be good places too with that kinda 'tolerance.
Also I like the red flower, it looks cute on you. The eyes give me kinda weird vibes.
no subject
[At least she recognizes that's likely to make grieving people unhappy with her.]
The flower's my favorite EGO gift too. The eyes are gifts from a stronger Abnormality, so at home it'd be more impressive, but that doesn't really matter here I guess.
no subject
[ At least they could both be honest about that? ]
...A EGO gift?
[ Ooh, more Lore dumps? Junpei sounded interested. ]
Whazzat?
no subject
The glasses are an EGO gift too, I don't actually have bad eyesight.

I got no idea about the other stuff! [Said confidently...but hey, he's honest.]
We're in the same boat!

The flower seems popular! That's what I was leaning towards.
How's your job search going?
no subject
Mm, not so good. I've got no idea how to get a job. I'm thinking I might just start asking straight up!
no subject
Asking's not a bad idea. Some people have put themselves out looking for a job on this network, and it seems to work okay.

That flower is lovely. Is it native to this world?
... As for the job, death... doesn't seem to be normal here. Still, I'm sure that there's someone out there that may have the perfect job for you, even if it means finding a skill you didn't even know you had before.
no subject
I'd like to hope there's a good fit here. I can do guild quests, but I'd like to have the consistency of a permanent position. My old job sucked, but at least it paid well and consistently.
no subject
There's still so much of this world we don't know about -- and people who seem to arrive here often. Even if there's nothing out there now that may be consistent, I'm sure that there may be a job in the future for you.

My previous workplace was more than a little callous about employee death.

Can you elaborate on that?

With the right vocabulary, you should be able to tailor that experience to the job as well. Perhaps stating that you're accustomed to hazardous waste removal would do the trick.
Is garbage collector the only job you're considering?
no subject
I'm open to a lot of things. Funeral parlor was suggested but I definitely couldn't be in a forward-facing position there, I'd be too callous about dead people. Do you have any ideas?
no subject
Perhaps a mortician specifically. I understand that preparing the corpse for the funeral involves tasks like wiring the jaw shut, among other things.
