Good day, everyone. I hope you're all doing well.

It has almost been a year since people from otherworlds found themselves in Ellipsa. Time does fly, doesn't it?

While I am sure there are others who have already gone home, or found themselves elsewhere, there are also those who are like me, and have been here since the beginning.

Some time last year, we had a little gathering of sorts— an Arts Festival, where people from different worlds came together to celebrate creativity and emotion through song, dance, theatre, and other forms of self-expression.

I'd like to announce that with the support of various businesses and individuals in the city, we are able to hold another one this year.

Please do let me know if you would like to help as an organiser, or if you would like your group or yourself to perform, host, or even have your own stall for your food business or other sort of business. I will definitely do my best to accommodate you all.

While more details will come in the near future, I am already announcing a new event for this year's festival— a fighting tournament! Martial arts and mystic arts are also that— art, and I'm hoping to showcase magic and various fighting styles in duel form.

I hope there will be lots of interest, and should there be any questions, you may visit the "website" our sponsors have made for this event.

I'll be happy to answer any other queries you may have that haven't been covered, too.

Now that I think about it, do you spar with Yoimiya?

Oh, we do. In addition to that, I've also been teaching her sword techniques. She's becoming quite proficient with one- I've heard you're quite the accomplished swordswoman yourself. You should spar with us sometime, Ayaka.

I am a master of the Kamisato Art Tachi Jutsu. Ever since I was a child, I had already taken up the sword to learn what I could.

And I don't mind sparring with either of you. I do keep up with my training here despite all my other activities. And, I must admit, I am quite excited seeing Yoimiya wield a sword!

I think you'll be pleased with her progress. We've been working at it for a few months now, and she's already shown promise. I couldn't be more proud of her.

I also am very excited to face off with you as well...but you know me. Any chance to spar with strong opponents is always a highlight of my day. When we fight, don't hold back. (* ^ ω ^)

Did Yoimiya purchase a sword here, then? What kind of sword does she use?

While I will not be participating in the tournament this time, I shall try to find some time. Perhaps I can help in preparing you for it.

Thank you, Ayaka. Anything that serves as a good training experience is welcome. Perhaps we can learn a thing or two from each other.

But in regard to Yoimiya, she uses a special sword. Do you remember when the guilds gave us the opportunity to form a "trust weapon" of sorts last fall? We took them up on that offer, so now the sword she uses is one that she procures right from my own chest.

I believe I've heard of such a thing, but I'm not as familiar as I would like to be.

Is she only able to use the sword in your presence, then?

Yes, we haven't found her a proper sword to use quite yet when I'm not able to be around. I was using my own elemental swords to teach her while she was still getting used to the power. But once she'd mastered the technique, we haven't gone to find a good one for her.

You know, you've given me an idea. Ayaka, would you be interested in helping me out with something?

Of course. If it is for Yoimiya, then I would be very interested.

What's your idea?

I've been thinking ahead for her birthday already, and I've already bought her something for it. But I think a joint gift would also be a splendid idea.

Would you help me find a sword for her to use? I'm well versed with swords, but I think it would mean a lot more if the both of us picked one out. You've known her longer than I have, and I trust that you have an exceptional knowledge of swords and swordplay...so your input would be invaluable.

Plus, if we're being honest here...she'd love to know that the two of us worked together for this.

A joint gift? That does sound like a cute idea. I've never done anything like that before.

I wouldn't have if it weren't for you. Believe it or not, I struggle finding gifts...consulting with others usually helps greatly when I'm finding things to bring back home to Snezhnaya. So you have my thanks.

If I may ask, why do you struggle with finding gifts?

Oh, well...

I think I just worry too much about whether or not the person I'm getting a gift for will like it. I've lost sleep over it before...

Hehe, I understand that feeling.

But I do not let that stop me. If I struggle to pick a gift for someone, then I ensure to get more than one present. One that is bought at a store, and one that is handmade.

[ Now Tartaglia knows one of her secrets. ]

Huh, that's really not a bad idea. I try to do something similar for my siblings whenever I'm away, but as they grow older, it's harder to find exactly what kind of gift they'd like. My sister Tonia, for example, while still young, isn't as enamoured by the same toys I used to buy for them all...and snacks can only get you so far. She's coming to her own more refined tastes, if you will.

But I'll take that advice going forward. Perhaps it'll ease my struggle a bit.
